Like the Stanley Parable, the less said about Pony Island the better. I will say it's a puzzle game and a love letter to games in general. It surprised me more than once.
It was on my list due to its reputation, not the title, but there are ponies in it. A basic playthrough is 2 hours, which is just about right for this type of game. Ludum Dare games that go on to achieve fame and fortune on Steam tend to be fairly hit or miss, what works in a jam game isn't necessarily engaging as a full release, and I did get a little fidgety at the very end, but overall it was a lot of fun.
