Mini Settlers

Mini Settlers is an early access game by Knight Owl Games that I wishlisted purely because it looked like Civilization Shapez and it is indeed that. It evokes the same emotional cycle as Shapez. The satisfaction of starting out with something decently optimized, the flailing despair of watching my creation spiral out of control into a convoluted mess, the ineffable need to destroy everything and start again.

Unlike Shapez, each new campaign is a fresh slate, so I’ve managed to convince myself to “hang in there” until I hit the goal for the current level. It has a ways to go but I honestly don’t care, this is the sort of game I pop into the scrach an itch, then pop out for a while.
