What Did I Play on 2026-06-28?
Finishing up Magic Archery put me in a bit of an incremental mood, so I fired up Nodebuster which has been sitting in my backlog for a while now. Nodebuster is an active incremental, meaning you can technically (very slowly) advance if you set and leave it, because it has auto-fire, but you advance much more quickly if you take an active role in node busting.
I like a lot of things about this game. I like auto-click, the active component, and the minimalist visuals. The upgrades are pretty good, and I enjoy the progression. It was relaxing to play, and gave my brain something to latch onto during downtime, which is exactly what I want a game like this to do.
Giants and Fairies and Helmets
Finally set aside some time to continue La-Mulana. I uncovered some more secrets in the Moon Palace, but couldn't figure out what to do beyond that, so I briefly explored the endless corridor and unexpectedly met a fairy. When I was wandering around in the Twin Labyrinth I found... drumroll... the helmet! Which makes navigating Spring in the Sky possible. So I spent the rest of my session exploring that area and fortunately I found a save tablet, so I can warp back there in the future.
